IAAF Level 1 Lecturers Certification

Jarrod Adams (Otago) and Paul Hamblin (Auckland) have successfully passed the IAAF Level 1 lecturers course that was held at the IAAF Oceania Regional Dvelopment Centre (RDC), May 17 - 22, 2010.

The course content contained:

  • ‘The Kids Athletics Programme'
  • ‘The IAAF Youth Programme' - Run Jump Throw
  • Oral classroom presentations (lecturing) & Practical demonstrations

Jarrod and Paul will now work with Athletics NZ to develop Kids Athletics in selected regions in New Zealand.

   

2010 Athletics NZ Coaching Conference

'The Development of Athletics Programmes for Coaches, Teachers and Clubs'

Douglas Track and Field & Trusts Stadium, Waitakere, Auckland
12 - 14 November 2010

There will be two strands of activities throughout the conference: Community Coaching and Performance Coaching
Community Coaching will focus on programme content for Coaches and Clubs involved with athletes aged under 16. Performance Coaching will focus on programme development for athletes aged over 16. Attendees will be able to attend presentations in both strands.
